It's a pleasure to meet you! If you're looking for help in the realms of history, music, or English (though not ESL), I am more than happy to offer you whatever help I can provide.

I have worked as a professional in the publishing industry since July of 2010 and have several books in print as well as working on multiple others. If you (or your child) are struggling with grammar, organization, flow, vocabulary, and other aspects of writing I am happy to share my knowledge and experience with you, and together we can polish your skills until they gleam.

In addition to English, I obtained my BA in History from Southern NH University, focusing on the Renaissance. Though I studied history from the Greco-Roman period through to the Industrial Revolution and beyond. History isn't, as many people seem to think, supposed to be boring. For example, did you know that the Spanish Armada was defeated by rabbits? History is about the story of humanity, and it's full of fascinating, humorous facts which can offer worlds of insight into the modern world. I promise it's not just dusty old books.

Beyond the two aforementioned skills, I am also a violinist with over twenty years' practice and experience. I am primarily a classical violinist and prefer to teach beginning students of all ages and share my love of music with them.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

English

Having worked in the publishing industry for several years, I am well qualified to help people with their writing whether for scholastic pursuits or personal ones. I have had multiple stories of mine published in several locations as well as having edited multiple novels currently in circulation. I also am currently involved in a startup publishing company.

European History

I studied European History intensively in college. Being that it was my major, this is likely unsurprising! My passion for history and its influence on today drove me to complete my BA in History, and I enjoy teaching others in this subject.

Violin

I have played violin for approximately fifteen years, participated in several orchestras, and performed several years ago at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston with the Captain Wolf Band and the New York Jazz Pops (I was with Captain Wolf). I play classical violin alongside Celtic fiddle and prefer to teach beginning violinists. I can also read and write music competently.

Writing

*Edited multiple books while under employment for Divertir Publishing LLC.

*Have stories in multiple works published by Divertir Publishing.

*Multiple novel-length editing projects currently under contract.

*At least one of the novels I have worked on outside of Divertir Publishing has been accepted for publication by another publishing company.
