I have been a professional educator for more than 15 years as a middle and high school teacher, academic director, behavior specialist, curriculum coordinator, learning specialist and a college counselor. Much of my career has focused on students with social/emotional and learning challenges. My area of expertise is academic coaching (assisting students with organization, study skills and ADHD management) and college counseling. I also offer parent coaching.
I have over 10 years teaching experience in therapeutic schools where much of the population has been diagnosed with ADHD. I have also taken 5 of the 6 required workshops for the Coaching Children and Teens with ADHD certification from UNH as wells as a graduate course in special education classroom interventions. Lastly, I have developed a study skills curriculum designed for ADHD students.
I have practiced as a college counselor for over a year at a local boarding school. I have a College Counseling Certificate from UCSD Extension.
