Hi! I'm currently a Comparative Literature student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have taken a variety of literature, and English classes. I have helped tutor children in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. In high school I helped classmates in English and Literature as well. I'm kind, patient, and calm and love to help.

For some reading does not come easy, and I understand that. Comprehension is something that takes practice, but I believe with thought, and time, it can become easy to even the most novice student. I have worked with several students in ages from six to seventeen on reading and comprehension skills and I have always seen improvement.

English

English is a fantastic subject! I find it easy to weave my way through the language and would love to help others do the same. I have worked with fourth grade through to high school and freshmen college students.

Literature

Literature is my favorite subject, I absolutely love to read. Passing on that joy to others by helping them understand literature themselves is why I am currently a Literature major. I have read many of the classic typical "high school" novels more than once including (but not limited to) Great Expectations, Animal Farm, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Color Purple. As well as novels, I am also competent in most plays read in a high school curriculum.
