Here is a brief history of my life. I was born here in NH but moved to Quebec when I was 9. I lived there for 3 years and learned to speak French fluently. Later in life, I spent time in France and conversing in French with people from different parts of the world. This broadened my French horizons in terms of vocabulary and accent.
I moved back to NH just in time to start junior high. I played sports in school and for city teams. I took AP classes in high school. I should mention that in elementary school I would do chapters and chapters in my math book on weekends just for fun. Somehow, I still ended up in art school. I'm still not sure how that happened.
I graduated with a BFA in K-9 art education and photography. I taught in a day program for adults with disabilities for 7 years. I learned ASL to be able to communicate with people who are both deaf and blind. I have 3 of my own children that I work closely with on homework. One of them, while very intelligent, has an IEP for math, but really has a deficit in her executive functioning and recall skills that affects all areas of her learning. I only mention this because it shows my ability to work with many different types of learners.
I just started co-managing an elementary level team that my two younger kids are on. I chaired the religious school committee at my synagogue and subbed in the classes.
My husband and I produced, wrote and directed a feature length independent film. No, you have never heard of it. I wish I could say that you had.
I am a distance swimmer and bike rider.
