I am a senior undergraduate student at the University of New Hampshire majoring in history and participating in the university honors Program. I have significant experience with international travel and have studied abroad at Lancaster University in England (primarily to study computer science) and Edinburgh University in Scotland. I am a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Society (a co-educational literary group), the UNH wrestling team, and work for the IT Department assisting with Instructional Design and eLearning. I plan to complete a CELTA (ESL) certification course in Prague next spring. I have taken education courses and interned at Portsmouth High School in the social studies department as well as volunteering in leadership/teaching positions (detailed further in resume) in varying capacities. In my spare time, I love to read classic and modern/experimental literature, study foreign languages (Spanish, Russian, and Scots Gaelic being my current pursuits), write fiction, listen to new music, and explore photography. I hope my own experiences as a student will offer assistance and insight for those struggling to make sense of academic materials or find the right set of study skills to succeed. I look forward to working with students from all backgrounds and abilities.
