I have been involved in international legal issues for over 30 years. I am also multilingual, although English is my first language. I always had an interest in other cultures, so my life has been very different than that of most people. As a result of my language abilities, I have insights into issues that many others lack. I worked for the US government, handling international treaty issues and cases. I lived in Asia for 4 years, England for 1, and have traveled to Nigeria at least 4 times.
The world is on our desktops now. There is no reason for anyone to be ignorant about anything, nowadays, although the Internet is not always the best tutor.
