Preparation is the key to getting the most out of your enlistment into the military. Whether you are wanting that improved potential on your AFQT scores or that higher qualification score for the job preference of your choice, preparing prior to the actual test is the best alternative in your play book.

As a Navy veteran, I have seen those subjugated to less than fulfilling jobs in the military. I continuously took correspondence courses that would improve my chances for advancement. When there were none left to take, I cross trained to better understand those jobs closely related to my own, never for lack of good instructional material to learn from.

While working in the University system for much of the past 30 years I have taken advantage of educational improvement for myself and worked with students who sometimes did not understand the instructional material set forth by the professors with whom I directly worked. Finding that avenue to communicate the necessary material was key to this task.
For the past two years I have worked as a Community College Instructor teaching communication. I enjoy the interaction with the students and find pride in the improvement and success that I see displayed in the classroom.

My other experiences from my past have taken me through drafting, mechanics, machining, welding, electronics, and hydraulics. It is time to pass on this information in a meaningful way to future students who wish to advance their future in the military.

Strive to achieve your true potential.
