Hello, My name is Angela and I am an experienced Chemistry tutor. I graduated from ECU in 2005 with a BS degree in Chemistry, summa cum laude. In 2006 I graduated from ECU with a Master's Degree in chemistry. My work focused on biochemistry, specifically proteins and metal interactions.
To help pay for spring break trips in college, I tutored on the side and am very experienced in nursing chemistry, organic chemistry, and general/inorganic chemistry. I also taught chemistry labs while an undergraduate. From 2006-2008 I taught general and organic chemistry as a part-time instructor at Pitt Community College.
I am married and I have a son (pictured) and a daughter. I am available to tutor in the evenings. I would love to help you reach your chemistry goals.
My tutoring philosophy involves lots of practicing and detailed explanations with step-by-step instructions on how to solve problems and remember concepts. Tutoring should be a place to gather concepts and understand ideas, but it is also crucial to work on problems and homework outside of tutoring sessions to ingrain the methods in your brain. I want to help YOU not only get a good grade on your test, but to understand chemistry.
