I am currently working toward a degree in Physics and Math at NC State University with the ambition to get a PhD and teach math and physics. I am willing to help tutor anyone who needs help with Algebra through Calculus III and differential equations as well as the first semester (mechanics) physics at the college level. I have taken and passed Calculus I through Calculus III, differential equations, and an introductory mathematical proofing class. I am currently taking Partial Differential Equations and a proof based Linear Algebra class. In physics I have taken a class on Newtonian mechanics and am currently taking a class on electromagnetism.
I have been tutoring for almost two years now and have helped students with Calculus I, Precalculus, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Physics. I also regularly help my classmates with the materials in a one-on-one setting.
Last semester I was hired by the Undergraduate Tutorial Center at NC State as an on campus tutor for NC State Students. I tutored Precalculus and Calculus I last semester. I currently lead a supplemental instruction session for Physics 211 (algebra-based mechanics) where students can come an reinforce what they have learned in class in a group setting. I make lesson plans for my sessions and hold three 50-minute sessions per week.
I prefer to meet at one of NC State's libraries as I am on campus during most of my free time. It might be possible to meet at your house or another location you feel comfortable with if we both agree to the meeting place beforehand and it is not too far away from NC State's campus. I am excited to help others with math and physics and I look forward to helping you.
