Hi everyone,
My name is Keith and I love to teach! More importantly, I love to learn. I’ve been doing that – learning – for a long time. For the parents reading this, I have earned three degrees so far: a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems, and a Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies. What does that mean for you and your children? It means I know a lot of stuff in a lot of different areas. Keep in mind, however, that I am not proficient in everything. But if given the opportunity, I can make sense of just about anything and explain it to you!
So, what can I teach? My focus is the fundamentals: reading, writing, and arithmetic. Computer Science requires a background in algebra, trigonometry, and some calculus. I can teach higher order math, but I favor algebra and geometry. I can teach computer concepts as well as some Microsoft applications including Word and Power Point. Additionally, since I have been in school for such a long time, I have a good grasp of academic reading, research, and technical writing. I know my way around the internet and I have access to several major university online libraries. If I don’t know an answer, I can definitely find it!
