I work with my teams regularly to make sure that they have a complete understanding of the accounting for financial transactions that they are completing. Monthly I review the financial reports for businesses here in the United States and for many other entities located around the globe. I work with consolidations, foreign exchange, GAAP and IFRS, Transfer Pricing, US and Foreign Taxes. There is not much in accounting that I have not worked with and trained my team in.
Over the past 30 years, as Chief Operating Officer & Global Corporate Controller for a number of major international corporations, I have been the on-site leader and subject matter expert in areas of Accounting, Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Treasury, Risk Management, Logistics, Legal, Call Centers, Taxation and Production Operations. I have successfully grown businesses from $330 Million in sales to $725 Million in sales over a period of 3 years. This was completed through internal product expansion, product line acquisitions and business acquisitions. I have worked in a number of major industries on a domestic and international basis. These industries include retail, e-commerce and distribution, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, automotive and aerospace manufacturing, financial services and oil and gas.
Economics was my second major at the University. I have worked with the Theory, but apply more practice and practical solutions to most economic situations in business daily. Since Microsoft came out with Outlook as a part of their Office Suite of products, I have been using Outlook daily. I am presently using MS Office 10 and have used versions going back to 98. I use this system to track and share my calendar, keep my contacts up to date and share them with my iPhone, track all of my inbound and outbound mail, and set up the tasks to remind me of specific key items that I need to complete. So I have been using Outlook regularly for 10+ years in business on a Global basis.

I have been a corporate CFO or Controller for many years in my career and one of the key areas of my responsibility has been tax management, tax planning, tax risk management, for both domestic and international operations.
As a CPA I have to take continuing education courses to maintain my license each year. I presently participate in tax courses delivered by Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, KPMG and BDO on a regular basis throughout each month so that I can stay on top of current trends and processes in many areas of taxation.
