My name is Alina and I hope to become your future tutor! I am very outgoing and love to learn. My education as well as other students' education is very important to me. I strive to give my ultimate best in everything that I plan to achieve or accomplish. In high school, I was a member of National Honor Society for maintaining a 3.5 GPA. I completed numerous community service hours tutoring students from various schools in the area. I have grown to love it. I have found out that this is my strength and I should apply it to my everyday life. I have experienced a major difference in grades, attitudes, as well as the mindsets of these students. I really want to help, so I hope you allow me.

I would also like to talk to you about my experience with these subjects as well as the approach I take when tutoring students like you all. I have worked with kids at any age level by tutoring, supervising, etc. it is so much fun. I have learned so much about kids, and students with different personalities. Also, I try to view perspectives from their point of view, or through their eyes because it honestly helps. I build a connection with the students to see where or what their strengths and weaknesses are and try to build up from those on ways to improve. I look forward to building these same relationships with my future students.

I am very much experienced in sciences, such as chemistry and earth science, all areas in math up to PreCalculus, as well as English, up to College level. I love tutoring vocabulary, writing, and spelling as well. I am very experienced in SAT and ACT math, English, and writing,as well!

Algebra 1

This subject teaches how to solve equations, problem-solving, and determining graphs, such as slope, midpoint, and intercepts.

Algebra 2

This subject teaches polynomials and long division, partial- fraction decomposition, and logarithms.

Chemistry

I am very experienced with all the aspects of the periodic table. Also, I am experienced with balancing equations and stoichiometry with mole-to-mole ratios.

Vocabulary

This subject teaches the definitions of various words.

Grammar

This concept better understands how to use correct grammar, sentence strategies, etc.

Microsoft Excel

This subject teaches the basics of Excel, such as how to incorporate functions with data entered into spreadsheets, various information into tables and charts, and learning how to link them together into one whole document.

Geometry

This subject deals with points, lines, angles, etc.

Microsoft Word

This subject teaches the basics of word, such as how to opening and saving documents, typing, and the components of a document.

Microsoft PowerPoint

This concept deals with the basics of power point, such as visuals, audio, and text.

Prealgebra

This subject teaches the basics of math up to high school. It is learning how to find the missing variable, graphs, and how to solve equations with the given variable.

English

I am very experienced with grammar usage, verb tense, and correct spelling.

Accounting

I understand the concepts of debits and credits, what consists of an income statement, and a balance sheet, and what are assets, liabilities, and equities.

SAT Math

This subject correlates with the many math subjects up college math from the simple operations, graphs, and equations.

Literature

This subject deals with various novels of many time periods.

Proofreading

This subjects explains how to revise, edit, and catch the common errors, such as grammar usage, incorrect spellings, and wordy sentence structures.

SAT Writing

This portion of the SAT teaches how to write according to sentence structures, diction, and parallelism of verb tenses.

Spelling

This subject better understands the correct word spelling without a dictionary based off of the consonant and vowel rules.

ACT English

I am very experienced in determining the correct usage of grammar, how to write sentences in its correct tense, which is parallelism.

Elementary Math

I enjoy teaching the basics of math, such as adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Elementary Science

I enjoy teaching the basics of science, and the states of matter.
