I am a PhD student in environmental economics at Duke University with extensive tutoring and teaching experience. As an undergraduate studying economics and math, I tutored local high school students in math, social studies, and SAT prep. I also helped tutor athletes at George Washington University in a wide range of subjects. As a graduate student, I have tutoring experience in economics, statistics, STATA programming, and GRE prep. I also have extensive teaching assistant experience in a range of economics topics. I was selected as the best teaching assistant of the year in my master's program. In addition to experience tutoring/teaching high school and college age students, I also have volunteer tutoring experience with elementary age students in both reading and math subjects.
I love teaching and working with students, and believe strongly in teacher and tutor preparation. Before each tutoring session, I ask students to provide me with a list of topics and/or specific problems they want to discuss. I always come to tutoring sessions prepared with learning guides I've created.
