Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. ADD/ADHD

I have tutored students of all abilities and backgrounds for over 20 years, and have a history of successfully working with ADD and special needs students. I specialized in helping students with special needs pass the GED and Adult High School Diploma tests. Since then, I have tutored students over the years with various learning disabilities. Although I do not have a degree in special needs, I have developed successful strategies from experience, I have a network of resource people to whom I can refer students, and I have testimonials on this website from at least two parents - Julie and Mary - whose students with ADD/special needs excelled with my tutoring help.

Great tutor and very accommodating! — My 10th grade son has been working with Leslie for the full school year and she has been tremendous, not only as a writing tutor, but also because of her flexibility. She has worked with my son on organizing his ideas into an outline, developing his thoughts in writing, increasing the complexity of his writing, and grammar. Best of all, Leslie was able to conduct video tutoring sessions over Skype ...
