I was a 6th and 7th grade school teacher at JHS 145 in the South Bronx, NY. I taught both English and Social Studies. I also have written a book about history and the new millennium. I currently train students in Linux and Unix.
As a tutor since 1992, I have developed and implemented two academically recognized learning systems that are currently employed in several colleges and are used in secondary education. My first system was developed and implemented in the Spofford Juvenile Correctional facility located in the Bronx, NY. The system was designed to cater to juveniles with short attention spans.
The second system was developed for colleges that combined both younger and older adult students into the same classroom. A group of students do not all learn the same, thus by identifying their learning capacities, my learning system can pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses in order to help the student achieve success-oriented results.
My Spoonful of Knowledge Learning Systems are unique, and they are designed to help a student by aiding students in demonstrating a comprehensive framework using the structure of their study material. These methods are very interactive as it is geared toward teaching students in a dynamic manner as opposed to a static one.
Learning needs to be fun!
