I am a North Carolina certified Spanish teacher. I have taken students twice to Spain and France. I most recently went to Central America to revisit friends whom I have known for 35 years. The realm of my teaching includes Spanish 1 through Spanish 4 Honors. I try to design my lessons around the capabilities, level and age group I am involved with. I teach grammatical structures as they relate to English in an attempt to help growth in both areas. I include cultural information as it presents itself in the lessons and try to use any authentic materials of my own to help understanding.
I use many ancillaries, techniques and hands-on "toys" to help my students gain understanding so that application in the target language comes more easily.
