I had the opportunity to take Honors Algebra and AP Calculus in high school. In addition to helping me succeed on the SAT, these classes also taught me skills that I would need in college classes like Microeconomics and Physics. When I teach Algebra, I teach concepts and skills and provide plenty of extra practice.
A graduate of a Christian School, I am familiar with the typical Bible Studies requirements at independent schools. I have studied The Book extensively, and am able to help students understand themes, context, and significance.

I took Spanish for six years in middle school and high school, and I took AP Spanish my senior year. The skills I learned helped me with my studies in Hmong and Chinese after graduation. When I tutor in Spanish, I help students understand the mechanics of the language: syntax, agreement, tense, diction, etc.
