I tutor mathematics up to calculus. With proper coaching and encouragement when needed, students will develop an appreciable ability for symbolic thinking, which is an essential tool for success in mathematics. This is where I come in. I have worked with weak students and helped them work up to their potential, not just for one exam or two, but for the long haul.

I also tutor French privately to high school and college students, as well as adults.

I enjoy working with individuals and mixed groups of all ages. I believe that a well-rounded education is a desirable goal for all in our global community. To the extent that I can assist you and your children achieve that goal, I am at your service.

Corporate Training:

Algebra 1

I have a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from Penn State University. I worked previously in the field of Actuarial Science at the Prudential Insurance Company. In addition, I have assisted in teaching mathematics in the middle schools and high school of South Orange, NJ.

Algebra 2

I am a Math graduate from Penn State University. I tutor Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I, Algebra II and Pre-Calculus. I enjoy working with young students and communicating to them the joy of discovery and mastery of fundamental math.

I am a native French speaker. I have taught it for several years. I have also gotten a perfect score of 200 in the French Test for Teachers, required for teaching in the public schools of most states. I am very strong on syntax, so I can provide the student a good foundation for current and future learning.

I have a degree in Applied Mathematical Sciences, afield of study in which Geometry plays a big role. I have studied and researched both Euclidian and non-Euclidian geometries. In addition, I have had the experience of tutoring geometry at the high school level for a number of years.

I have a degree in Applied Mathematical Sciences. As such, this has required me to be thoroughly familiar with the standard calculus notions offered at the high school and college levels. For tutoring purposes, I have concentrated in tutoring all mathematical concepts that are embedded in the High School course curricula, including Honors classes. My knowledge of the subject matter and experience in tutoring can help those students that experience trouble in Precalc and beyond.
