I am a certified teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), a Highly Qualified Teacher of English (HQT), and an adjunct professor of anthropology. I have 13 years' experience teaching high school, university, and adult students. I have a Master's Degree in cultural anthropology from the University of New Mexico. I completed the required graduate coursework for ESOL certification at the University of New Hampshire.
I am passionate about education, and I love tutoring. I thoroughly enjoy the one-on-one relationship I have with my students and the opportunity to tailor curriculum to each student's individual needs. I would love to help you improve your English language skills; prepare for the SAT or ACT exams; write your college essay; or brainstorm, organize, and write that final project for your college course. I can also help you with organization and study skills. I have extensive experience with strategies and methods for communicating information and making it relevant to the student.
I hold myself to a high standard and for that reason I often ask for feedback from my students. I am flexible with scheduling however I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I look forward to working with you towards your success in furthering your education.
