I have been teaching Special Needs for over fifteen years, five years in NYC and ten years in New Jersey. I teaching ADHD, LLDM,LLDS, highly functioning Autistic and Behavior Disorder students. I have a Teacher of the Handicap license.
I have a master's degree in mathematics and I have been teaching algebra for many years.
Algebra consists of variables and expressions, solving one, two, and multi-step equations, solving inequalities, open-ended application problems, graphing linear inequalities, absolute value and polynomials.
Although I have been teaching for more than twenty years; the first four years I taught K-8th grade students. I have tutored first graders through eighth graders for many years. I also taught my children when they were elementary age. I love teaching and I have the patience and understanding to help elementary students.

I taught GED studies for over ten years. The GED examination consists of high school studies that are completed within three months; the math consists of a little computation, some pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and statistics. The reading part consists of vocabulary, sentence correctness, reading comprehension, essay writing and some earth science.
My master's degree was in mathematics and I have been teaching geometry for over fifteen years. Geometry consists of points, lines and planes; logic and reasoning; parallel and perpendicular lines; congruent triangles, triangles, trigonometry of special right angles, similar figures, transformations circles, area and perimeter; surface area and volume.
My master's degree was in mathematics and I taught pre-algebra for over twenty years. Pre-algebra consists of integers definitions, absolute value, comparing and ordering integers, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers, powers of integers, order of operation, and fractions.
I have a master's in mathematics. I have been teaching for 20 years. Some of my duties were to work with the students who were taking the SAT. For years I taught the students strategies in answering the multiple choice part of the SAT. The open ended questions were handled differently; I taught the students how to focus on what the question was asking for and to use the four steps formula. The math part of the SAT consists of computation, algebra, geometry, probability, trigonometry and statistics and most of the questions are inquiry questions.
