My name is John and I'm a postdoctoral fellow in respiratory biology at the National Institute of Environmental Health Science. I have a PhD in molecular toxicology and a Masters in statistics and can make even the most difficult topics in life sciences and math approachable and understandable.
I have experience tutoring graduate, undergraduate, and high school students and have taught college lectures in statistics and biology and toxicology. I have also completed courses in how to teach science in an effective manner.
For the most part, I favor a tutoring teaching style that is interactive between myself and the student. It is my job to reach a student through a variety of methods to ensure understanding. These include examples, problems, and introducing the content in a new and novel fashion to allow the student to comprehend. Specific methods will vary according to each student's needs.
I look forward to helping you succeed in your scholastic endeavors, whether that be applying to college, studying for SAT/ACT exams, or homework assignments and increasing your comprehension of difficult subjects.
