Hello! I am a former middle and high school English and history teacher. I spent five years teaching in public schools in Mississippi. I also worked as a literacy consultant for several school districts. I am a new Carolina transplant and am in the process of transferring my teaching certification to North Carolina. I earned my BA at Mount Holyoke College, MA, in critical social thought, and joined Teach for America. I earned my MEd. in secondary history education at Delta State University. I am a certified teacher with 4 years of experience teaching 6th grade. I have also worked with 4th and 5th grade students in summer camp settings that involved educational experiences, outdoor skills, and artistic activities.
