ACT Math
60 questions, 60 minutes. Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry. In 5 years of teaching at a charter school, 98% of my students passed an 80-question EOC. This success comes from my ability to bring math to the student, the way THEY understand it and can relate to it.
ADD/ADHD
From 2001-2006 I taught at a local charter school called PACE Academy. This school consisted of a small number of students (50-200) with over 50% ADD or ADHD. Fortunately I've always been great with small children and pets, and first meeting (and thereafter) no exception. Since I've been self-employed I continually have been tutoring students one-on-one, and this is really what most students with ADD need. It's pretty much a one-on-one IEP you would find in our public schools, which I am very familiar with creating during my 5 years as a teacher.
My own experience with not only ADHD students, but anyone I teach, is finding out what each individual's hobbies and interests are, their distinct and most effective learning patterns, and their individual needs and levels of comprehension. After I figure all this out, structure throughout the course is very important, and I find it best to do with the student so it's something they are willing to try and commit to.
All these methods I've learned have had great impact on the students' grades and general lifestyle as they leave the course with self-confidence.
Thanks for reading and be in touch if you are looking for a very reliable and effective tutor.
Good luck with everything,
Jon
Algebra 1
100% of my students passed the EOC for 4 out of the 5 years I taught at a school that acknowledges the hard-comings of students with poor reading comprehension, lack of interest, and anything that gets in the way of that degree.
I was the head of the math department and taught subjects including Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Algebra, Trigonometry, Advanced Functions and Modeling, Discrete Mathematics and studied subjects from Abstract Algebra through Differential Equations in college at UNC-Chapel Hill.
If it's math, I can help. Looking forward to working with you.
Algebra 2
I taught Pre-Algebra II for two years and all my students passed the EOC. I have a way of finding a students weakness and using it to teach the material using things the student is interested in.
Very cliche, but it works when executed correctly.
Elementary (K-6th)
I have tutored children of all ages and I'm great with kids. They love me and I can usually reach through to them in their own way. I emphasize music or games in the process to help brain development at earlier ages (really any age but its most beneficial when you're young.
My success as a teacher at a charter school and a private tutor has been outstanding and it won't stop short here.
Geometry
I have always loved geometry and in the past 5 years of teaching, I believe I mastered teaching it. I am able to find a students shortcomings in any area pertaining to the subject and find a way that makes sense to the students.
Let me know if I can be of assistance :)

Piano
I taught music for 5 years at a local charter school. Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Percussion were the focal points of the performance section of the class, but all my students learn at least some basics on the piano as I believe this is the most efficient way to learn the music theory behind music. Along with music theory, effective drills, ear training, rhythmic notation, melodic notation and much more is an OPTION. I'm here for what you want to learn :)
Web Design
I took Courses for Microsoft Office as a teacher through a free program for teachers. In addition I studied and got certified in XHTML + CSS. I've built and currently maintain my own website from the ground up and is serving to be a success.
Furthermore, I am currently researching SEO and internet crowdsourcing, both of which have enormous impacts on the internet market.
