You deserve congratulations for looking for a way to be more successful! As someone who has been involved with education for over twenty-five years (as a mom, a teaching assistant, an adult who returned to college to earn my teaching degree, a substitute teacher for grades 1 through 6, and as a sixth grade teacher), I am confident that I can help you achieve your academic goals.
Learning is an exciting, life-long pursuit. I love it, and I love helping others to learn! I graduated Suma Cum Laude with a 3.98 GPA and received my Bachelor's in Liberal Arts with a Concentration in Elementary Education from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Later, I completed a master's in education alternative program with the State of Massachusetts through Framingham State College; also with honors. I am certified to teach all academic subjects in grades 1 through 6 and particularly enjoy the curricula and subject matter specific to the upper elementary and lower middle school grades. Working with students one on one and tailoring learning experiences to each student's particular needs is the most advantageous method. Every child is capable; and with dedication and effort on the part of the student as well as the teacher and tutor, every child can improve his or her academic skills. For me, it's not just getting better grades that's important; it's also about becoming a better person. There's nothing to compare to seeing children's joy and pride when they master a skill or concept that previously had been difficult, or even impossible, for them.
