I have taught the sciences in middle school, junior high and high school, always including ways to study effectively. For a Colorado high school, I created a study skills manual that was taught during the freshman year to boost effective learning.
One-on one tutoring was done for The Tutorial and Learning Center for Mesa College and additionally, an independent company, The Learning Center. Through these learning centers, I was able to work with middle school students, high school students, college students and non-college adults.
My next goal was to work at a teaching university, assisting pre-service teachers. After receiving my Ph.D.in Curriculum and Instruction, I taught student teachers for Central Washington University for twelve years, incorporating study skills into my presentations and workshops. I retired as a Professor Emeritus.
I would like to continue to assist students in reaching their goals of effective learning, having fun along the way.
