Hello potential students! I am eager to tutor students in math and science subjects, whether they are facing difficulty in their classes or are just looking for an extra edge. I am available to tutor middle school and high school math subjects, as well as high school physics and chemistry (including AP classes). I am also available to tutor college math, chemistry, physics and engineering subjects. I am also available to tutor for test preparation for SAT and GRE quantitative reasoning sections. I have just begun tutoring again, so I offer very competitive rates. My approach is based on preparing the student for overall success, not just to get good test or homework scores, and therefore I am very skilled at determining underlying weaknesses in understanding a subject. I will ensure my student understands the subject fully and is not ignoring knowledge that the subject builds on!

I have experience tutoring middle school math and science students. I also have experience tutoring college students in engineering and science students. My education includes a B.S. in materials science & engineering from University of Washington, from which I graduated at the top of my class, as well as a M.S. in chemistry from University of Oregon. In addition to tutoring, I substitute teach for high school classes. I look forward to helping you attain academic success!

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable, got me the A! — Andre is the only reason I got 95% in my organic chemistry class. He made a class I had previously dreaded taking seem fun and easy. Always looked forward to my tutoring lessons with Andre. He was also very flexible. I had to reschedule my lessons almost every week and he was always found a way to make it work.
