I am presently a church pianist, having played piano for over 40 years. I have taught beginner piano to students in my home and also at a private school off and on for the last 10 years. I have been playing for a local church for the last 5 years, but have also been a pianist for several churches on the MS Gulf Coast.

I have recently completed an online one-year course in art and also am presently taking private art lessons. While I am not a professional artist, I have painted several murals in a church and daycare center on the MS Gulf Coast. I could assist you or your child in art studies.

I am presently tutoring 4 children (K-2nd) in all subjects, including piano. I taught all 3 of my children to read (and they read well), and I would love the opportunity to assist you or yours also. I am very friendly and patient, and good with people of all ages.

I love to read, and I can help you or your child find the same joy in reading. Whether it's reading for pleasure, or to gain knowledge, a love for reading can be instilled at an early age.

Music Theory

While not the most pleasant and fun part of learning to play an instrument, music theory is however absolutely necessary in becoming proficient in any instrument. Theory is the language of music, and learning the language unlocks all kinds of doors. Music Theory skills are actually some of the most useful and practical skills that a musician can develop.

Literature

I love to read! Having been an avid reader my entire life, I believe the reading of good books expands a person's mind and makes them more well-rounded. Elementary (K-6th)

I have much experience in teaching K-6th grade, having homeschooled my three children in those grades. Also, I have tutored several children in elementary grades for several years now at different times throughout the year. I am presently working with one child learning ESL. I have taught all the different subjects covered in elementary school.

Piano

I have played piano for 40 years. For the last 10 years I have taught children and adults beginner piano in my home and also at a local academy. Presently I am a church pianist for a local MS Gulf Coast congregation, but over the years I have been the pianist for several other churches.
For 5 years in a row I conducted piano recitals at a recital hall in a local music store. At one point I had up to 25 students. I would love to teach you or your child the joys of playing piano.

Sewing

I've been sewing for over 40 years. I took home economics in school 3 years, with extensive concentration in sewing. I've made my own clothes, my children's clothes when they were young, and home decor sewing like curtains, etc. I sewed all my daughter's costumes for 3 years while she was performing in little theatre groups. Bible Studies

I have been a Christian since 1976 (33 years)and have been reading the Bible on a daily basis since then. I have been a church member this entire time, and have been active in many church-related activities.
