I know what it is like to be wondering if you are going to pass each semester of nursing school. The material can be overwhelming. You ask yourself, "How can I possibly learn all this in a week for the upcoming test?" You end up being stressed and unable to focus on the important material. That is where I can help! I can help you narrow down the information to the most important and tested material. Are you having trouble with test questions? I can help with that as well. With my tutoring you will gain confidence and be able to maximize your efforts. You will have to study and learn, but you will not be wasting your time on information overload.

I have forty years' experience in nursing with twenty years' experience in teaching in the clinical, hospital, and academic settings. Please do not wait until the semester ends to seek assistance. It could make the difference between passing with confidence or feeling hopeless, lost, stressed, and failing out.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

NCLEX

I taught Medical and Surgical Nursing in an Associate Degree Nursing Program for 6 years at Holmes Community College. I also assisted with reviewing students for NCLEX testing. I am proud to say that my classes had a 98-100% pass rate. I graduated with a MSN from University of Mississippi in 1989, a BSN from Northeastern University in 1979, and a diploma from St. Dominic School of Nursing in 1972.

Study Skills

I have several years experience teaching nursing students how to study effectively and how to develop good study habits. I teach them how to outline material, make flashcards, pick out important concepts, mind mapping, and effective test taking skills. My educational background is a MSN from University of Mississippi in 1989, a BSN from Northeastern University, and a diploma from St. Dominic School of Nursing. Study skills is an area for which I am very passionate. So many students do not have good study skills.
