Parents, are you looking for someone to assist your child in the English field? Or possibly someone to lend an extra hand while your student learns the complex world of math? It can be frustrating not knowing the answer to your childs questions, or simply not having the time in between work to help your son or daughter better understand their school work. A tutor will help both you and your child be at a better advantage.
For three years I worked with an organization that went around to different schools talking to kids about a variety of topics including drugs, alcohol, fire safety, and more. Although this appears irrelevant to what my tutoring offers you, it allowed me to work with the kids, to better understand how they see things and how the information people are giving them truly stays with them. Not everyone learns the same way, and once you figure out how they do you've completed half the battle.
For two years I assisted with a small tutoring program through my school giving me the opportunity to work with kids my own age, none of whom were incapable of their coursework but just needed an extra hand when their teachers weren't available.
Both of these experiences allowed me to work with teaching children and teenagers, giving me the knowledge of how best information is received, remembered, and understood through the minds of each individual.
Although some may believe that my age does not give me the most credit to tutoring, I think feel that it is my age that gives me a certain benefit over others. The fact that I am still in school gives me an advantage of being a fellow learner myself. I can use the way that I learn towards how I tutor others, enabling me to better communicate with each individual.
