I provide one-on-one and small group (up to 4 students) lessons in-person and online. Services available include math, reading, writing, study habits, homework help, and test preparation for the Mississippi state testing for students in grades kindergarten through 6. Tutoring sessions focus on helping students grasp the concepts they will need to know to perform well in their class, as well as developing study strategies to effectively prepare for exams in their class.
I moved to the Jackson, MS area in June of 2013. I have spent the last 10 years teaching in a variety of elementary grade levels and during the course of that experience, I also had the chance to teach internationally for almost 2 years.
I graduated with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Marymount University, a division of Loyola University, in May 2004. I worked previously as a teacher in both public and private schools in the Northern Virginia area, a public school in Florida, and a private international school and a language school in Azerbaijan. I am known for my patient ability to explain and work with students, my ability to stay calm under pressure, and the empathetic support that I provide all students.
