I am an older person with a young attitude. My specialty is reading. I have taught reading to people from ages 3-83. Formally, a kindergarten teacher who became a dual teacher with pre-kindergarten in the same room at the same time! I was educated at parochial schools in the Chicago suburbs, Chicago and Dubuque, Iowa because they were suppose to be the most difficult schools with the best teaching. I received the Dignissima medal and was on the top ten in my graduating class of over one hundred students. Also was named top graduate for the year according to the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Because of my love of reading, I also took courses to include adult learners using the Labach method. Reading is basic, fundamental. If a person cannot read and interpret properly, it becomes difficult to learn the required material from courses. My positive attitude, encouraging response, and quick sense of humor makes learning fun.
I have also taught sewing in the summer as well as having taught cooking to area children to give them something productive to do in the summer.
I have now added another important issue-- Integrated Holitic Health Counselor. I am now certified and a member of American Drugless Practioners. A balanced life is the first step in improving your life. How you visualize yourself, your self-esteem is most important in the learning process. I am a Registered Holistic Health Coach for anywhere.
