I completed a B.S. in history at the University of Central Missouri in 2006 with a GPA of 3.94 and received a scholarship as a graduate assistant. I went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in history with a GPA of 4.0 while teaching university students Library Information Services, which involved teaching computer and library-based research skills and APA research paper format.
I have over 15 years of teaching experience in which I have taught students from Kindergarten to university in various subjects from algebra to English although I prefer language arts over math and science in the older grades. I homeschooled 4 children of my own, every one of whom attended college with an academic scholarship, including one who had a full-ride tuition scholarship and one who graduated recently from the University of Central Missouri with a graduate degree in English at the age of 22. I have taught in public school and private school in classes that ranged from 12-23 students.
My greatest strength is that I love students and teaching and have the patience and experience to help any student improve his or her study abilities and confidence in becoming successful writers, readers, and researchers. I also believe that any student can be successful in any subject given the proper motivation and skills to accomplish the task at hand.
