Approved subjects are in bold.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have vast experience with ear training. Not only do I have a music degree from a reputable university, I also hold a position in the viola section of the Kansas City Symphony, obtaining a job that only 5% of all conservatory graduates can get.
My mother is an elementary school teacher. I have countless hours helping her in the classroom, as well as countless hours teaching small children music. I have a great rapport with children, and know how to reach them on their level, providing different explanations when needed and providing different games and puzzles to aid in their learning.
