Hello, My name is Sarah and I am about to complete the final requirements for a MS Chemistry degree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. I was a teaching assistant there for the past 2 years, teaching both General Chemistry 1 and 2. I have always enjoyed helping students to grasp a difficult concept. I haven't always loved math and science. In fact, when I was in middle school, I couldn't stand math. Nothing could frustrate me more! I didn't understand what they were asking and why oh why did I need to know this anyway? However, through the the patience of a professor and a remedial college math class, I began to not only understand but to enjoy mathematics! My point is this--I understand the frustration of not understanding something that is so easy for other people. I will not give up. I will try as many ways as I can--including some I may have to borrow--to better explain the concept causing difficulty.
