I graduated with honors from Berklee, and am have 500+ hours of experience teaching music, so I've had plenty of preparation and experience within the field, and will gladly share my wealth of knowledge in many musical fields with whoever is ready to learn.
I have been playing drums for 12 years and have studied under great teachers including Rod Morgenstein, Steve Wilkes, Neil Smith, and Henrique de Almeida. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with degrees in Music Education and Drumset performance, and have learned very advanced drumming techniques from some of the best percussionists/teachers in the world. I have performed in numerous groups including Marching Bands (I was drumline captain), concert bands (section leader), wind ensembles, rock bands, jazz bands, Latin ensembles, and the list goes on. I have taught many drummers in the past as well, because drumming is my passion and I love to pass on my knowledge, making me extremely capable of being a tutor in this subject.
As a graduate of Berklee College of Music I have passed multiple courses and assessments based on Solfege and Ear Training, as well as had the chance to apply these skills in improvisation. I am a Music Education major at the Berklee, and have also had the opportunity to tutor my classmates in the subject of Ear Training. Previous to Berklee I was an officer in my high school chorus, and I taught ear training exercises to my classmates. My educational background and teaching/tutoring experience in the field of Ear Training makes me very qualified to pass on this skill to others.
I've been playing instruments in one form or another for 17 years, which is most of my life at this point. I've gone through both instrumental and vocal programs throughout all levels of my education, including private instruction in voice, piano, guitar, and percussion. I am graduate of Berklee College of Music with degrees in Music Education and Music Performance (for Drum Set), and have gained a wealth of knowledge about music theory, music history, and teaching methods through these programs.
My music history knowledge is vast due to the amount of time and study I've devoted to the subject for school. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in May as a Music Education major, and I have completed required courses in Music History and have passed the MTEL for music, which is a major hurdle in making sure musicians have adequate knowledge for a teaching license. As a Music Education Major, I have studied accurate recital techniques for different time periods in music history as well. I am an experienced teacher and am very patient as well, making me an ideal candidate for a tutor in music history.
I took four years of Music Theory courses at Berklee College of Music as a Music Education Major. I have already passed the MTEL Music exam for teacher licensing. I've been playing and studying music in one form or another for 17 years now, and I passed the approval test on this website with 100% of my answers correct. Most importantly, I'm an accomplished educator, composer, arranger, and analyzer in the field of music, and am very qualified to tutor/teach in this field.
I have been playing piano for 14 years and have reached a fairly advanced level. Although I am not as proficient at piano as I am at drums, I could teach students beginner and intermediate students without any problems. I was a Music Education major at Berklee College of Music, and as such I had to take 5 semesters of piano classes and pass a proficiency test in order to graduate. Previous to my experience at Berklee, I was privately instructed on piano since the second grade, so I am well qualified to teach young piano students.
