I am a licensed and experienced K-12 Spanish Teacher. I went to Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and studied abroad in Segovia, Spain for one semester. After graduation, I taught English as a visiting professor at a university in Mexico City. I then spent four years teaching 8th World Language in a suburban middle school and one year teaching 3rd-6th grade Spanish at an elementary school in Minneapolis. I am currently teaching after school Spanish classes for kids and adult Spanish classes, tutoring Spanish students in middle and high school and elementary Spanish immersion students in reading skills. I am very comfortable with Spanish grammar and vocabulary and can help students with studying or teach grammatical concepts.
Also, I am an avid pianist and have much experience accompanying choirs, soloists and other groups. I also played piano for the pit orchestra in four different musicals. Although I am not a music major, my background in piano (which includes fourteen years of instruction) along with my teaching experience make me a great candidate for teaching piano lessons. At this time, I would like to teach beginners, but I would consider teaching higher-level students.
