Approved subjects

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. Algebra 1

I have 5 years of experience teaching Algebra 1 to 9th graders at a private high school in the Twin Cities. Since I also taught Chemistry for most of my career, my Algebra skills are excellent. In addition, I earned a fellowship from my current school for excellence in teaching. I look forward to helping you learn Algebra.

Baseball

I have been actively involved in organized baseball and softball coaching for the last 20 years. I have coached at a variety of levels from little league baseball through high school Varsity softball. I love the game and really enjoy helping young people learn more of the intricacies of offensive, defensive, and team play.

Basketball

I have been actively involved in organized basketball coaching for 10 years. I have coached at a variety of levels from middle school through high school Junior Varsity. I love the game and really enjoy helping young people learn more of the intricacies of offensive, defensive, and team play.

I have 20 years of experience teaching Advanced Placement Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, and Algebra 1. In addition, I earned a fellowship from my current school for excellence in teaching and was chosen to be a grader for Advanced Placement Chemistry exams several times by The College Board.

Elementary Science

I am licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach Chemistry, Physics, and Broad Area grades 5-9 science. I have 20 years of experience teaching Advanced Placement Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science. I also have about 20 years if experience teaching a variety of science topics to elementary aged students in summer programs at the Science Museum of Minnesota, the California Science Center, and Minnehaha Academy. In addition, I earned a fellowship from my current school for excellence in teaching and was chosen to be a grader for Advanced Placement Chemistry exams several times by The College Board. With 4 young kids if my own, I am well prepared to teach your elementary school child that science is fun!

I have also taught physical science classes during the summers at the science Museum of Minnesota and at the California science center.

Prealgebra

I am licensed to teach by the state of Minnesota and I have 20 years of experience in classrooms in public schools, private schools, and summer programs. With 5 years of experience teaching high school Algebra 1, i understand what you need to know in order to be successful in Pre-Algebra. In addition, I earned a fellowship from my current school for excellence in teaching by my current school. I look forward to helping you achieve success in you Pre- Algebra class.
