I found Jennifer S. through Wyzant.com in a search to help my son with studying for the ASVAB. My son has ADHD and learning disabilities in reading and comprehension. A steep task for anyone to take on. I was impressed with Jennifer's eagerness and willingness to assist my son. She never seemed overwhelmed at undertaking the task of helping him get ready for his ASVAB exam. She was very diligent in finding a tutoring time that worked well with my son's schedule. During the first two weeks of tutoring, she was able to teach my son ways of reading and getting to the answers correctly, in a way he's never learned during his school career. He is a senior in high school right now. When he came to Jennifer, he had taken a "practice" test for the ASVAB and scored very low. After 10 tutoring sessions he took the test again and scored much higher! He will be taking the real test in August. I have no doubt that without Jennifer's help, he would not have raised his score so high. I have also seen an improvement in his grades in school by applying what Jennifer has taught him. I wish I would have found her sooner. My son was always willing to go to tutoring and always said how nice she was, and helpful. He really enjoyed it (or he would have wanted to quit, he's 17!) Also, Jennifer was always great about posting her comments after each session, keeping me informed of the progress they were making. I know Jennifer tutors in many subjects and I can tell you from experience, she is fantastic! I had selected three tutors to try out for my very first tutoring session ever. Jennifer was the first one to respond to my emails and set up a time to meet. From the first day/session I had with her, we clicked and I knew she was going to be my tutor! Jennifer is a wonderful person who wants to make sure you, the student, are understanding your material. I never had a problem trying to contact her, whether it was by phone or by email, she always responded.
