To whom it may concern,
My name is Clint and I am a student at the University of Michigan Dearborn with a concentration on English literature. I have extensive in home tutoring experience starting from when I was 16 and working as a piano tutor through Westland Music, and am now currently self employed as an English tutor for Koreans who study English as a second language. My knowledge of writing, communication, and reading skills have been sharply honed over a vast amount of study and personal research. I have written two unpublished books, a novella, dozens of short stories, and a wide array of poetry. I have accrued a distinct set of skills for studying and for composition that have been revered by the community and fellow struggling students as well as praised by parents and teachers alike. I am well read and very concise with a high skill in public speaking and both expository and creative prose.
My methods are as follows:
I am a very firm believer in the power of reading. I dedicate a large portion of time in most of my English sessions with reading aloud. Reading aloud is excellent for pronunciation, hastening reading speed, memory, and communication both publicly and privately.
Vocabulary is also one of the most important areas of study ANY student can, and should, invest time into expanding. My typical method of expanding vocabulary in a practical way is through flash cards and quizzing. Flash cards are proven to be proficient for memorizing terms and definitions, while quizzing assesses the student's ability to recall information.
