I home-schooled my children for 3 years before I put them in private schools. I have all three of my children in college now. One is in med school and the other two are working toward a degree in business.
I am getting a second Associate's in Paralegal now. I have two certificates (one in Industrial Engineering (QC) and will be finished with a Paralegal Degree in December 2013. I will also have two certificates in December (one in Automotive QC) and the other in Paralegal). I will be transferring to U of M to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching after December 2013.
I was a Children's Church teacher for 12 years; my first class turned out to be hyper-active kids, the ones no one wanted in their class. I eventually ended up with all the kids in the church. I also assisted with the "Missionette's Program" for 3 years. I often blended my arts and crafts background into the Children's Church and Missionette's Program, as a reward system. Children earned certificates, ribbons, and bonus incentives. I taught my own children in these classes.
A couple years ago, a young man came up to me and grabbed and hugged me. I did not realize who he was until he pulled a 1st place ribbon out of his wallet. His name is Tim and he was in my very first Children's Church class. He is now a substitute teacher at that school, while he is working his way through college.
I tutored a few children from church for a couple years.
