Hi there,

My name is Farah. I'm 24 years old and I have a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Wayne State University. During my undergraduate career, I worked in inorganic chemistry research for two years at WSU. I was also awarded a paid internship in organic chemistry through the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) at Freie University in Berlin, Germany.

Wayne State requires a variety of physics and mathematical classes in order to award a BS in chemistry. I took a lot of upper level math classes including calculus III and linear algebra. I also took many calculus based physics classes. I learned to use shortcuts and tricks to solve problems and therefore I did well in the sciences.
In high school, I received the highest grade in my school in AP physics, and I was the only student to receive the "Outstanding Achievement Award" in math.

In my undergraduate years at WSU, I was a member in several clubs such as, the WSU Optimist Club and American Medical Student Association. I have been a volunteer at Oakwood hospital for the past few years. I am also a published author.

I am fluent in Arabic (in reading, writing, speaking, and grammar). Arabic is such a beautiful language, and I would love to help you learn it.

Few of my past tutoring experiences include:
Teaching AP physics to 2 homeschool seniors. They both received As.
Teaching geometry to a tenth grader. He received 89% on his final exam after receiving Cs and Ds on his other exams. I currently tutor him in algebra and he is receiving As in all his quizzes and test.
Teaching organic chemistry/biochemistry to a college student who ended up acing her class.
Teaching Arabic to a 24 year old who had no knowledge of the language, but in only 10 sessions, he learned how to do basic reading, writing, and conversing.
Teaching a 5 year old with ADHD how to pronounce letters like f and s correctly, and thus helping her improve her pronunciation and self-confidence.
Tutoring ACT and GRE math over few months.

I am family oriented, easy going, and very friendly. I am also very patient and I have a lot of techniques and tricks that I would love to share with you. My schedule is very flexible, and I am available to teach kids with special needs.

If you are interested or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to message me.
