I have instructed students in science and math as a student teacher, a substitute teacher, a laboratory assistant at the University of Michigan, and on two campuses as a certified professional teacher. I have taught physics, advanced chemistry, honors chemistry, summer chemistry, standard chemistry, advanced biology, biology, summer biology, algebra, and geometry. I have helped a broad range of students to achieve their goals, from the legally blind student discovering the joy of mastery of the compound microscope to the undergraduate student in the college histology laboratory. For more than three decades my students have maintained the highest AP scores on both campuses. The highest honor one can receive is to observe the student develop genuine confidence when they succeed in a challenging program of study.
