I have been tutoring various subjects of mathematics since 2005 when I was a sophomore at Norfolk State University. I have tutored as a volunteer and also as a paid employee when I was in college. My style of tutoring is to cater to the student. I have the ability to teach theory and application. I can teach the course work in a way that relates to the student. I always want to ensure that my student understands the basics behind the work they are doing so that they will be able to remember what they are being taught. However, I also have the ability to teach where I can give you what you need for right now. I am always giving encouragement to make the student feel comfortable and confident that they can understand the work. I am able to tutor courses that are Microsoft Excel based such as some Probability and Statistics courses as well as the traditional style of tutoring. I want my students to succeed and will go to whatever extremes there may be to ensure that they are successful. I don't necessarily define success as getting an "A" but I define it as the results you get from giving your BEST effort based on the goals that the student has set.
