Hello,
My name is Erin and I'm 26 years old. I'm new to the St. Joseph area, but I've lived in Michigan all of my life. I'm a chemist, but I am strong in my technical writing and public speaking skills, as well as math and the sciences; my job requires that I train customers on the use of my company's analytical instrumentation in both a classroom setting and in writing learning tutorials for customer use. My proficiency in technical writing is one of the things that helped me get the job I have now as my boss's first language is not English - you could say I've become his English spellcheck.
I love to learn and to teach others what I know. I believe in the empowerment of young girls through education and exposure to traditionally male-dominated fields. I believe that young people are capable of being responsible additions to society if given the chance, and I get great enjoyment out of helping them get there. That being said, all learning should be fun. I believe a relaxed approach in a one-on-one atmosphere is the most effective way to learn and/or to overcome learning obstacles.
I come from a very family-oriented home and have been taught to give my all when committing to something. I guarantee that if you choose me as your tutor that you will receive nothing less than that.
Because of my full time employment I am only available in the evenings.
