My name is Chris, and I have been an educator for over ten years. I have taught high school English at all levels as well as creative writing, poetry, literature, and drama. I have worked closely with students in ACT preparation courses, developing curricula and programs to address student deficiencies in reading and writing. Currently, I teach English and technical writing at Wayne County Community College.
My approach to tutoring is much like that of my teaching. I find ways to modify or adapt material to the learning style of the student. I make the difficulty of heavy language and confusing terminology a thing of the past and put new information and concepts into terms students can understand.
