Hi all!
I am a 23 year old college grad, currently in the Saginaw area. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Michigan University in 2011. Since that time, I've had a few different jobs while on the search to figure out what to do next!
I have always enjoyed tutoring and teaching and would love the chance to help you or your family member succeed in school and education endeavors.
Experience in tutoring goes waaaay back to my childhood where I would help around my mom's preschool classroom, and then spend afternoons playing "school" with my younger sister as my student. In more recent times, I have been a peer-tutor while in high school and college.
I have strong math skills, as well as strong language and writing skills. These are the two subject areas I would most like to tutor in. However, I also have an extensive background in Science and I also play percussion/drums if anyone is interested in music lessons in that area.
Along with these subject areas, my background in Therapeutic Recreation has also given me a lot of experience working with individuals who have special needs. I have a great deal of patience, care and understanding. So, I am also interested and capable in tutoring those who might have extra learning needs.
