I am very well qualified and would love to help you succeed. I have extensive teaching experience. I have more than a year of experience working with college students and young adults as an English Teacher (ESL/EFL). During my last job as an ESL teacher, I took several trainings on teaching methodology and classroom management. One of them was a workshop from Cambridge University Press, in which I got a certificate of participation for "New Perspectives to Teaching Pronunciation."

I can work with students of all ages, and I have more than two years of experience working with middle school and high school students as a Substitute Teacher, After-School Teacher/Leader, and Spanish Teacher Aid. As an After-School Teacher I started a Spanish club and motivated students to learn a second language. In addition, in this program I worked as a leader/tutor. Part of my functions was to help students with their homework and tutor them in Math and Spanish.

I use a communicative approach for language teaching. This means that I that emphasize interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of study. Some of the activities I prefer to use are role-plays, interviews, information gap, games, surveys, learning by teaching, etc. However, a great tutor or teacher will adapt his or her teaching techniques and methodologies to the student's personal learning style. My ultimate goal is to get to know you and design lessons based on your learning style and preferences. This would help you enjoy our sections and learn faster.

I try to be flexible with time. While I do have a 8-hour cancellation policy, I offer make-up classes.

I am confident that my passion and experience are the qualities you are looking for, and I am eager to help you achieve success in your studies!
