Hello friends!
My name is Jessica. I am in my final year at Eastern Michigan University. I am majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Children's Literature. I love school, and to be quite honest, I'm very sad that this will be my last year. My love for reading and writing has grown over the years, and I love sharing my enthusiasm about it with other people. I am interested in tutoring because I love working with other people. It's such a refreshing experience to be able to share with others and learn from them as well!
I spend most of my time at school, work, and doing homework...but you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. I like getting everything done so that I can enjoy my free time, and I usually spend it by reading, writing, or playing music. Other than work and school, I spend my time with my wonderful family and friends.
I've taken many English courses, as well as courses that cover a range of literary topics--from multicultural literature, children's literature, and even poetry. Being a writer, I also know much about grammar and structure. I may be the only one I know who actually likes writing papers!
Along with reading and writing, I also have musical and theatrical skills. I've played the piano for 16 years, and I've participated in many of my high school musical productions. I love music and theater, and I love experiencing it with other people.
Over the years I have had much experience with helping other people. In high school, I helped tutor some students in English. I've worked in customer service for four years now, and about two years ago I went on a mission trip to Cambodia, where I worked with young children. It was an amazing experience, and it has strengthened my love for people and everything that there is to share.
