I am offering beginning and intermediate guitar and bass lessons, music theory lessons or general music education.

I have 12+ years of experience as a guitar and bass player and 6+ years as a teacher, I was in middle and high school band and choir.
I have performed professionally in touring rock bands and played in church bands and done some studio music work. I am currently enrolled as a music major at LCC.

I can teach any style. I have previous experience teaching beginners and intermediate students from age 5 to 65. I also teach children's music classes (ages 0-5) at Elderly Instruments.

I am currently teaching approximately 30 students weekly and would love to double that number.

I can teach chord vocabulary, reading music, music theory, scales, reading tab, improvisation, techniques, or just learn to play your favorite songs from twinkle twinkle to Hendrix. I base my teaching style on the individual student and their needs and desires.

I am available at a mutually convenient time mornings afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday Saturday's if necessary. I don't work on Sunday.

Composition (Music)

I am a song writer. I have written and performed many songs for audiences as large as 800 people on many occasions.

I have written music for bands of various generals as well as composes trios quartets and solo prices for projects in high school band.

I am a current music major and learning about compassion in more depth but I know plenty of the basics to get someone interested in composition started.

Ear Training

Ear training is a controversial subject at times. Some say your born with it some say it can be developed. Some believe in perfect. Pitch some don't.

The truth is some people are born with is and the rest of us can learn it.

Among other things I teach general music classes for ages 0 to 5. These classes are designed to instill a musical foundation at an early age. This enables children to pick up on music faster when they are old enough to start to learn to play instruments.

I have also thought theory, voice, piano, guitar and bass guitar.

Music History

As part of my training through LCC's music program I have taken western art and music history, the history of blues and jazz and the history of rock and roll.

I am an avid fan of all types of music dating back to the first recordings of blues and jazz to classical long before that all the way to current music.

Piano

I can confidently teach beginning level piano to students of any age.

I have taken private lessons on piano as well as a college level piano class.

My background in music theory gives me the tools and understanding to teach and play the piano.

I have taught piano to children as young as age 5.

Songwriting

I am a song writer. I have written and performed many songs for audiences as large as 800 people on many occasions.
