I have previously tutored at Northern Michigan University for organic chemistry, chem 1 and 2, and microbiology. I led two discussion classes at NMU as well; one for an introductory biology class and the other taught students studying methods, how to identify their own learning style, and how to improve on test taking skills. I also tutored several students at Washtenaw Community College in statistics and pathophysiology. In addition, I have tutored for over a year at a juvenile group home. During my employment there, I worked with troubled youth and helped identify and correct behavioral problems and instill discipline in everyday life as well as their schoolwork. I have a very rounded background in science and a distinctive ability to communicate material to the students I work with.
I generally specialize in pathophysiology and human anatomy and physiology, but I can also provide tutoring in the lower biology, math, and chemistry courses at a discounted rate.
